Private equity firm continues to grow its high flow through logistics real estate business
AMSTERDAM, August 12, 2019 – Realterm, a private equity real estate firm headquartered outside of Washington, D.C., is pleased to announce the appointment of Jon Chalkley to the Head of Investments and Business Development for its European investment platform. Based in Amsterdam, Mr. Chalkley will focus on investing into high flow through (HFT) transportation logistics real estate in major logistics markets across Europe.
HFT facility assets typically include final mile delivery facilities, trans-shipment facilities and parcel sort facilities, among other logistics-related real estate. Strategically located in and around major population centers and primary distribution hubs, transportation-advantaged HFT facilities are the critical high-volume “last mile” freight distribution transfer points facilitating the efficient flow of goods to their final destination through the last stage of the supply chain.

Mr. Chalkley will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and closing acquisition opportunities for Realterm’s European platform. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Chalkley served as the head of West Coast investments in the United States for Realterm from 2015. Prior to joining Realterm, he worked in the Investment Sales group at Cushman & Wakefield, where he led financial analysis and due diligence processes. He holds a BBA in Economics from the University of Georgia and an MS in Finance from Villanova University.
