Amsterdam, Netherlands (October 27, 2021) – Realterm announces the acquisition of a 14,738-square-meter highly functional cross-dock facility located at Bremheidelaan 10, Turnhout, Belgium.

The property is located in a strategic pan-European freight corridor connecting northern French ports and Belgian ports with the North Rhine-Westphalia metropolitan area in Germany. The submarket is suitable to serve last mile operations into the greater Antwerp and northern Belgium areas, as well as transload operations into the Netherlands and Germany.

“Turnhout is an excellent location for cross border and domestic transload operations,” said Balazs Lados, Managing Director. “The property has best-in-class functionality in the submarket and great access to labour in Europe’s most densely populated area, making this a perfect addition to Realterm’s portfolio. We are also excited to welcome PostNL among our European customers.”

The site is currently used as a last mile hub by PostNL’s Pharma and Care division that, among other products, facilitates the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines in Belgium.

Highlights of the property include:

  • Square meters: 14,738 sqm
  • Land area: 30,429 sqm
  • Loading positions: 45
  • Access: E34 highway and N19 motorway

Realterm was represented in this transaction by Cushman & Wakefield.
